Rebuild Ko`ie`ie Fishpond’s wall on Saturday, January 10th

Now that the holidays are winding down and everyone’s getting back into the swing of things, start your new year off by volunteering your time to restore Ko`ie`ie Fishpond. `Ao`ao O Na Loko I`a O Maui (Association of the Fishponds of Maui) invites you to help rebuild Ko`ie`ie Fishpond’s wall on Saturday, January 10th from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. As a volunteer, you will learn about the history of the area, fishponds, the Hawaiian culture and will work side-by-side with other volunteers to dig up boulders that are submerged in the sand and restack them onto the wall. This is an experience that will start your year off right and will make you appreciate Maui just a little more!
